For the last 18 years, there has been a Free Style Reining right here in Alpine! This weekend, Teryn & several friends competed in it. We had a great time! Teryn is pictured here with Susan, Tyler & Colin Brewster (Rainmaker's adopted family). Tyler's theme for Rainmaker was "The Sharp Dressed Man". Notice how well Rainmaker wore his tux! He has such a wonderful home! Tyler won 4th in his division on Rainmaker and also recieved an award for Spirit of the Free Style. Colin won 7th in the Junior Division (dressed as an Indian on a painted pony) and Susan won 9th in the Adult division and the Brewster Family won the award for traveling the longest way! Not pictured (unfortunately) are Whitney and Becky Walker. Whitney won 1st in her division and Teryn won 1st in the Adult Division on Whitney's mare, Sal. Becky won 4th in the Adult division. The Walkers brought with them their friend, Cassy, who won 3rd in the Junior Division on Becky's horse, Cookie. I wish I had pictures of everyone. At the end of the show, Teryn gave a 30 minute seminar showing the difference between a started 2 year old and a trained reining horse. He rode Peter without a bridle - I really wish I had taken some pictures of that!
